Mozilla Firefox 8.0 final version has been released November 8, 2011,get it now!Mozilla Firefox 8.0 has the following changes:
- Add-ons installed by third party programs are now disabled by default
- Added a one-time add-on selection dialog to manage previously installed add-ons
- Added Twitter to the search bar for select locales. Additional locale support will be added in the future
- Added a preference to load tabs on demand, improving start-up time when windows are restored
- Improved performance and memory handling when using <audio> and <video> elements
- Added CORS support for cross-domain textures in WebGL
- Added support for HTML5 context menus
- Added support for insertAdjacentHTML
- Improved CSS hyphen support for many languages
- Improved WebSocket support
- Fixed several stability issues
- Fixed several security issues

ITS WONDERFUL
I have always felt happy and safe with Mozilla FireFox and have been very happy using it since signing on with version 3. So what is up with version 8? Version 7 worked fine with my netbook (XP) but every time I try to download version 8 it freezes up my computer and I (fortunately) am able to uninstall it. but the netbook is now significantly slower than it was and I am having problems with some other programs now as well. Fortunately I had Google Chrome installed and it doesn’t seem affected.
Is anyone else having trouble with Mozilla 8? I really prefer to use Mozilla but not at the risk of screwing up my computers. I’ve been too afraid to screw up my other computers to try it on them.
Any help or info greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem while upgrading to 8.0 with XP. It is always a shock to see your computer freezing after an update. No good experience with Mozilla this time!
I will stick with the 7.0.1 version until I see some reaction on behalf of Mozilla.

Today I was happily running 7.1 with RoboForm. Aside from fact that 8.0 crashed on my VERY stable desktop Win Xp Pro PC, I ended up having to use System Restore, uninstalling 8.0 and 7.1 before I could go back to Firefox 5.0 with updates OFF so I could everything working again. Surprisingly, 5.0 with RoboForm is now running faster and smoother than 7.1 ever did!
